Illustrated portrait of Bud

Volume I · Aboard the COMMERCE

Bud

After the voyage from Africa with his father, the two are separated when Bud is handed over to Alan as payment for a simple job. He is timid, and he has no sense of who he is or where he is.

He was the son of an African chief, but now he has lost his identity. He is a child looking, without success, for an adult to look up to.

Bud’s challenge

Can he find friends he can trust among his new shipmates while he dreams of finding his father again?
