Sailing into the Revolutionary Storm
A bunch of directionless characters rally to meet their day-to-day challenges on the New England waterfront. They stumble into situations with no plan, and are often exploited by those more experienced in commerce, until a strange sequence of events gives the lads the use of a formidable sailing vessel called the COMMERCE.
Their first challenge is to find a crew that can sail the newly designed schooner. Before long, their wandering puts them at odds with the British colonial administration in Virginia, and then with the British military itself. Without any awareness, they become participants in the rebellion, and flee back to Cuttyhunk, where their misguided adventure began.
