Privacy policy
This site collects as little information as possible. Here is exactly what that means.
Who we are
This website, nauticalwolf.com, is the official site for Making Way by Dick Farkas. It is run by Nautical Wolf Resources. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Nautical Wolf Resources and the author.
What we collect
You can read every page of this site without telling us who you are. We only collect personal information when you choose to send it through the contact form. That is:
- your name
- your email address
- the topic you choose and the message you write
How we use it
We use your message and contact details only to read your message and reply to you. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Contact form messages are emailed to us from this website’s own server. They are not passed to any outside form service. We keep messages only as long as we need them to respond and to keep a record of our correspondence.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising or social media trackers, and it does not store anything in your browser. The fonts and images are served from this site, so your visit is not shared with outside services.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web host may automatically keep standard server logs. These can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. They are used only to keep the site secure and running, and we do not use them to identify you. To stop spam, when you send the contact form the server also keeps a scrambled, one-way version of your IP address so it can limit how many messages are sent in an hour. It can’t be turned back into your address.
Links to other websites
This site links to stores such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble so you can buy the books. When you follow those links, the other site’s own privacy policy applies.
Children’s privacy
The Making Way books are written for young adults, but this website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If we learn that a child under 13 has sent us personal information, we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you, correct or delete any information you have sent us. Just get in touch through the contact page.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
